2019-20 stats predictions for Wade: 2.1 PPG on 52.0% true shooting, 4.6 MPG and 8 games active

These aren’t really the most optimistic/pro-Wade, but I’d think these numbers are fair at this point.

While Wade is a player I’d think could be of use more than the workload suggested because of his ability as an inside-out scoring big with some ability to take advantage of mismatches against smaller players in the post and also in the pick-and-pop and/or spot-up game, with two-way contributors only getting 45 days with their NBA teams and plenty in the rotation over Wade, I’d think he’ll just get some cameos in garbage time in the early portion of the year where head coach John Beilein and the coaching staff throws him out there.

Wade is a player that could be a developmental gem, though, considering he’s an above average athlete at the 4, can defend on the perimeter some, and knocked down 38.6% of his three-point attempts in his four-year career at Kansas State, per Sports Reference.

Again, though I like Wade’s potential for Cleveland, he’ll all but certainly be spending most of his time in 2019-20 continuing to progress with Cleveland’s G-League affiliate, the Canton Charge, and that’s perfectly fine.
