2019-20 stats predictions for Zizic: 7.9 PPG on 60.7% true shooting, 6.1 RPG, 19.4 MPG and 57 games active

I’m a pretty big fan of Zizic’s game on the offensive end, and with Cleveland being in a rebuilding situation, as many KJG contributors have emphasized, it makes sense that Zizic gets opportunities in meaningful minutes as the season progresses.

Playing off me banking on that the Cleveland Cavaliers will eventually trade Thompson and Henson at some point during the year, I’d imagine as the season progresses, and especially if potential injuries occur to the likes of Love and/or Nance (who have a history of those issues), that Zizic would get a good amount of meaningful minutes.

Zizic played pretty well as a starter and rotational big last year, and in totality in 2018-19, had averages of 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game, per Basketball Reference.

With him being one of Cleveland’s best post-up scoring and rolling threats, along with having solid mid-range shooting ability as we’ve also noted (a 47.1% hit rate on shots 10-16 feet out with a frequency of 9.5% in two NBA seasons, per Basketball Reference), he should get more opportunity to prove that he can be a role contributor in the near future, and I believe he’ll get some chances to start alongside Love further into the season, and from time to time, could get some minutes-share alongside Nance.
