1. Health
This is the key that will either make or break the Cavs season.
Health is always a big factor to a team’s success. Throughout the years we have seen many teams fall short of their goals because of unlucky injures. The Cavs are no strangers to this, as they saw the 2015 NBA Championship snatched from them due to injuries to both Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving.
Keeping a team healthy in the NBA is largely due to luck. However, there is already some concern around the Cavs health this year. Isaiah Thomas is currently out with a hip injury, and there is no timetable for his return. This will have a huge impact on the season, as Thomas will likely be the teams second leading scorer if he can return.
Not only do the Cavs have to worry about Isaiah Thomas, but they also just signed Derrick Rose too. Rose has been plagued with injuries for the last 4 seasons. Rose will be one of the most important players on the team this year. If Rose can’t stay healthy then the Cavs could be doomed.
Injuries are the one thing that could wreck this season. The worst part is, it’s all up to chance. There isn’t much the Cavs can do except for hope.

But, if this team can remain healthy, then this season will be one to remember. The expectations for the team are higher than they ever will be, and now it’s time to see if they can reach their full potential.
