Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers should target Miami wing in blockbuster mock trade

With the win-now Cavaliers hoping to lockdown Donovan Mitchell, the team must explore
ways to excel now and Miami's Tyler Herro would propel them forward.

What would the trade consist of?

To bring in a player like Herro, you would have to give up certain assets that have been key pieces in years past. Fortunately, I am still not convinced that he is worth his rumored asking price.

Recent reports from other news outlets have suggested the Cavaliers would give up Mitchell to get Herro and other pieces in return.

In this deal, the Cavaliers keep Mitchell and still get Herro.

Cavaliers Trade for Herro

While the financial details of this trade would have to be worked out, it would give Darius Garland a new home and place to re-kickstart his career.

In a big market, and with the likes of Butler and Abebayo, Garland would get an opportunity to thrive yet again. Rumors have speculated all season long that he and Mitchell haven't meshed well, which this trade would address.

For the Heat, it also moves Herro to a team where he can be paired with a strong guard in Mitchell and maintain a big-man presence down low as he had with Adebayo. They would also receive three-point shooting off the bench from Niang and the 20th selection, to continue bolstering their young core.

As a Cavaliers fan, do you accept this trade to give Garland a fresh start and bring a new young face in Herro to The Land?
