The Cleveland Cavaliers are back in the playoffs for the first time since the departure of LeBron James. A strong regular season notched 51 wins and the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are the four-headed hydra ready to tear through the Cavs’ postseason opponents.

The first opponent this year is the New York Knicks, led by old Central Division foe Tom Thibodeau as head coach. Julius Randle was an All-Star this year and Jalen Brunson probably should have been, and the deep team surrounding them makes for a difficult opponent. Through two games, the series is tied 1-1.

The star power of the Cavaliers and the market size of the Knicks have planted this game firmly on national television, but not everyone can or wishes to tune in to the TV broadcast. For those without access to ESPN and TNT, or for those who prefer an audio play-by-play so they can follow the game while doing something else, there is a radio broadcast of every game as well.

How to listen to Cavaliers radio broadcast for NBA Playoff game

The Cavaliers organization has built partnerships with a number of radio stations through something they call the “Cavaliers Audio Verse” which encompasses 31 radio stations.

Every 2023 Playoff game for the Cavaliers will be called by play-by-play announcer Tim Alcorn and game analyst Jim Chones. Those in the greater Cleveland area can tune into the Cavs “flagship stations” WTAM, Cleveland 1100 AM and 106.9 FM. Further out those 31 member stations will also carry the games.

100.7 WMMS will also carry the games, except when there are game conflicts with the Cleveland Guardians. Per the team, Mike Snyder will be the regular studio host for pregame and halftime content, and Brad Sellers will join for road postgame coverage.

For those further out, you can listen online through the Cleveland Cavaliers app via CavsHQ. Additionally, 89.1 FM WNZN will broadcast games in Spanish across Northeast Ohio. Finally, out of market fans can sign up for NBA Audio League Pass and listen in the NBA App.
