In their last time out, the Cleveland Cavaliers appeared to have seized control of the game Monday night at the LA Clippers, before they ultimately blew a 12-point lead with 4:37 left, and let one slip away 119-117. In that time, the Clippers at one point had a 15-0 run, and even without Kawhi Leonard (knee) and John Wall (rest), who has been a revelation thus far this season, Paul George and LA found a way to pull out a W versus Cleveland in that one.

Despite that, the Wine and Gold have started out incredibly well in the 2022-23 season, as they just had eight straight wins after dropping their season opener at the Toronto Raptors, and the Cavs handled the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers on Friday and Sunday.

Next up for the Cavaliers on the fourth game of their current five-game roadie is a game at the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, who enter this one at 3-6 on the year. Sacramento is a relatively new-look squad, like the Cavs, this year, and they once again a club that’s going to get up and down in their style.

Will the Cavs be able to get back on track versus the Kings, then? Let’s dive into more on this one, starting with the betting outlook.

Cavaliers-Kings: Odds, spread and over/under

According to FanDuel, the Cavs are favored over the Kings by 4.5 points. The moneyline for Cleveland is -176 and +148 Sacramento. As for the over/under, that’s set for 226.

Cavaliers-Kings: Injury report

Cavs injuries: Ricky Rubio (out, knee); Dylan Windler (out, ankle); Isaiah Mobley (out, G-League two-way).

Kings injuries: Malik Monk (questionable, groin).

Cavaliers-Kings: Projected starting lineups

Cavs starters: Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Caris LeVert, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen

Kings starters: De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Harrison Barnes, Domantas Sabonis

Cavaliers-Kings: Prediction

In this contest, I could foresee two teams wanting to play contrasting styles. The Kings want to get up and down, and feasibly are more than content trying to make this game a shootout, whereas the Cavaliers will want to slow things down somewhat.

Cleveland has been opportunistic in transition, but the Kings, by comparison, are a club that’s going to push pace much more.

As for matchups, this backcourt matchup is a fun one I’m looking forward to watching, and I’ll be intrigued to see if Darius Garland, in particular, can bounce back from a tough fourth quarter in that last time out at the Clips.

And can the Cavs’ bigs be more sound with their contests this go-round against drivers? That’s an area I’ll be keeping an eye on, as well, from Evan Mobley, for example. Mobley has had some issues of late in that realm, more so when playing at the 5.

Anyways, when it comes to this game, I would personally expect the Cavs to get back on track here, to some extent, in the late-third quarter from heady play, forcing some turnovers and getting the ball inside-out.

Prediction: Cavs 118, Kings 111

The Bet: Cavs (-4.5), OVER
