#3: Green still should make a big impact next year, and would for the Cavs

I think for a team that is looking to make strides for next year and will have higher expectations, that is something Green will help with as well. One of the Cavaliers’ biggest issues last season, because of the lack of another shot creator and one with size, they’d go through long droughts offensively.

Green is a walking bucket and will help lessen the times that would happen. He may not be the seamless fit that Cade would be, but he’s still a pretty good fit that would lessen some of the issues the team had last year.

And with Green the expectations should change. I wouldn’t say it’s playoffs or bust, but the Wine and Gold shouldn’t be one of the league’s three-to-four worst teams next year.

Nobody knows what will happen with Sexton currently, as we’ll have to see, (I’d like to see him with Garland and Green), but with Sexton, Garland and Allen for now expected to return and the addition of a centerpiece like Green, Cleveland should be in the hunt for the play-in.

If nothing else next year the Cavs won’t be terrible and should be taking important steps to being  competent. Even if the year doesn’t end with a playoff or play-in berth, they certainly have something to legitimately build off of for the future.

Next. 2 realistic expectations for Jalen Green if he's the Cavs' draft selection. dark

For a team looking to take the next step , even if the fit isn’t seamless, Green would still help the Cavaliers take those steps.
