With it being uncertain whether or not we’ll see the Cleveland Cavaliers back in game action in 2019-20, I figured I’d highlight the five players who’ve had the biggest impact from their roster this season.

At this point, we’re unsure if the 2019-20 NBA season will resume for the Cleveland Cavaliers and/or other teams, at least in some capacity, due to concerns regarding the novel coronavirus pandemic.

In relation to a potential season resumption down the road, and/or recent reported updates about individual workouts/guidelines, a possible later start to 2020-21 and more, you can view those here, at this link and also here.

Either way, it’s been far from a stellar season thus far for the Wine and Gold, as they’ve only had a 19-46 record, which is currently second-worst in the NBA this season with the league currently on hiatus.

The squad was a better 5-6 post-All-Star break once J.B. Bickerstaff took over the head coaching reigns, though, and that was nice to see, and the Cavs were playing unselfish ball on both ends, as evidenced by Cleveland being sixth in assist rate in that stretch, as noted by NBA.com.

The defensive resistance seemed to pick up, too, as the Cavs were at least a bit more respectable 17th, as compared to having the league’s second-worst defensive rating on the season.

Clearly, though, when looking at the year in general, there have been more key pieces for Cleveland that have had much more of an impact in a broad sense than others, even if there have not been a huge pile-up of wins.

Here, we’ll hit on the five players that have had the biggest impact thus far in the 2019-20 campaign, of which again may or may not have at least some sort of season resumption down the road.
