1. Michael Porter Jr.

Once every few years, there is a prospect that draws a lot of attention due to his talent and skills, Happened with LeBron, Griffin, and Simmons. Now it is Porter’s turn to dominate the mock drafts. Porter is a prolific scorer that can play either forward position. He’s a 6-foot-10 player with great shooting skills, which draws comparisons to Kevin Durant. To be honest, Porter doesn’t have any significant weaknesses in his game, except his defense, which is simply average.

So why should the Cavaliers draft Porter Jr.? Well, for starters, he is the best player in this draft class, and the Cavs will probably have a very high selection in the upcoming NBA Draft. Additionally, we cannot think of a better player to pick up where LeBron left. Porter is a franchise player and Cleveland should not miss the chance of drafting him.

Porter Jr. is currently attending the University of Missouri, where he is being coached by his father, Michael Porter Sr. (who is an assistant coach). Missouri’s roster is not as stacked as other rosters which makes it even more interesting. During the following season, we will find out if Porter can carry a team on his own, without having NBA-caliber players.

Porter Jr. has already won some of the best awards college athletes can receive. During the year 2017, he won the Naismith Prep Player of the Year award, the Gatorade National Basketball Player of the Year award and he has been the McDonald’s All-American Game MVP. He is a player that can become the face of the league if mentored correctly. And who can think of a better mentor than LeBron James?
