Target #5: Karl-Anthony Towns

There were quite an array of options to go with for this No. 5 target. Kristaps Porzingis came to mind along with James’ former teammate Kyrie Irving. Good friend Chris Paul or superstar Anthony Davis could also be a surprise pick for No. 1, or MVP runner-up James Harden could even crack the list. But, overall, the length, athleticism, and shooting of Karl-Anthony Towns might intrigue James enough to snag him with that No. 1 pick.

Towns averaged 25.1 points per game last season and shot a phenomenal 54.2% from the field. Of the top 15 scorers in the league, Towns and James were the only two to top 25 points per game and 54% from the field. Towns also showed off his three-point game increasing that from 0.4 his rookie year to 1.2 in his sophomore year. The 7-foot beast also grabbed 12.3 rebounds per game. While not an amazing shot-blocker, Towns also recorded 1.3 blocks per game. These numbers are truly amazing.

This 21-year-old is a superstar, and LeBron James might recognize that and find out for himself what it is like to play with KAT for one game. Still not widely considered an MVP candidate, KAT will be looking to make his mark on the NBA as a whole this season as his Timberwolves look to be a sneaky championship-contender.

LeBron James and Karl-Anthony Towns would be the perfect, unstoppable combo, and James might see it that way too.
