LeBron James must step up

Although he ended with the teams worst +/-, James actually started this game out hot. Throughout the game he had quality power moves coupled with some beautiful passes.

This absolute monstrosity of a dunk of JaVale McGee was definitely James’ highlight of Game 1.

In some aspects though, James tried to do too much. It seemed almost repetitive when James would drive into the lane kicking it out into the hands of the Golden State player. He ended with eight of the team’s 20 turnovers which is a brutal sign of how the Warriors physically took the game to him.

Besides his lackluster decision making once in the lane, James did get to the line 12 times and even secured 15 rebounds. His effort was there tonight as we expected, but his teammates were asking too much him against such a star-studded lineup.

Durant straight-up outplayed James tonight, and unless James personally figured it out, his Cavaliers will be doomed this Finals.

James’ final grade: B+
