The Cleveland Cavaliers had a rough time in Game 1, and it can be attributed to a lack of production from several of their starters.
The Golden State Warriors dismantled the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. With the Final score being 113-91, the Cavs can only look back and blame themselves.
While Kevin Durant and Steph Curry did play fantastic (scoring a combined 66 points), the Cavaliers buried themselves. They shot 34.9% from the field and on top of that committed 20 turnovers– compare that to the Warriors mere four and toss in that the Warriors had 12 steals to the Cavaliers 0. From the numbers side, this game was ugly.
The game started out pretty tight though. The Dubs took a 8 point lead into halftime despite having 18 more field goal attempts in the first half. This game took a downward turn in the third quarter and just stayed steady at 15-20 points from then on. Looking forward, the Cavaliers will now have two days to look over the tape and figure this out.
In the mean time, let’s breakdown how the starters did last night.
