#4: Game 3, 2015 vs Atlanta: LeBron Wills the Cavs to a Win

The Cavaliers led the Hawks 2-0 in the 2015 Eastern Conference Finals when the series shifted to Cleveland for Game 3. However, the Cavs needed to win in order to prevent Atlanta from making the series competitive. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love being out due to injury would make this task much more difficult to accomplish.

It seemed that the Hawks would do just that in this back and forth game. They held a 3 point lead after the first quarter. LeBron James started out the game 0-for-10 from the field. All signs pointed to Atlanta taking a road victory from the Cavs and making it a series.

James came alive in the second half, scoring 27 points en route to an eventual 37. He also finished the game with an astounding 18 rebounds and 13 assists. That triple double would lead all players in those three statistical categories.

The Cavaliers would win the game in overtime by 3 points, prompting an exhausted James to crumple to the floor. That resulted in one of the most iconic images of the Cavs’ 2015 playoff run.
