J.R. Smith’s And-One, Game 5

After the Game 4 loss, the Cavs were facing elimination. But behind incredible performances by LeBron and Kyrie, who each bagged 41 points apiece, their season was kept alive. The two became the first ever pair of teammates to score 40-plus points each in a single Finals game and their 82 combined points were the most ever by two teammates when facing elimination in the Finals. Kyrie also joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to score 40-plus on at least 70 percent shooting in the Finals (he went 17-of-24 on field goals).

While No. 23 and No. 2 did almost everything, LeBron also had 16 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three blocks, while Kyrie had six assists, three rebounds, two steals and one block, there were others who contributed.

Tristan had 15 rebounds, two blocks and one steal and J.R. Smith had the next most points of anyone on the team with 10. Smith made one three-pointer, two other shots and all three of his free throws. One of those field goals that led to a free throw is shown in the video above.
