The Disrespect!

No need to run back to Wade after Durant picked the Golden State Warriors and try to “kiss to make up”.

After taking every pay cut asked of him, Riley offered Wade half of what he made the year before the salary cap went up by $24 million.

  • He offered him $10 million, according to The Vertical‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, even though he led the Heat charge through the second round of last year’s playoffs and almost got them to the Eastern Conference Finals without superstar power forward Chris Bosh. He led on both sides of the ball, even at age 34.

$10 million for Wade’s services is as disrespectful as it gets without using the acronym “MLE”.

Having said that, the Miami Heat and Pat Riley tried to offer Wade a more significant contract after Durant’s decision and Wade didn’t accept it.

His message was clear and firm. He wasn’t taking his old flame back just because the team had flamed out in their attempt at getting Durant.

He, like his best friend LeBron, have found some people in Miami to be very disrespectful.
