Blake Griffin is injured for a little while longer and has his own issues off the court. On the other hand he is an explosive offensive player, has an improved jump shot and is a better defender than Love. Griffin likes the ball in his hands as well but is quicker moving without the ball, which should help him get open looks.

Love fits better with DeAndre Jordan in the Clippers frontcourt, is from LA and doesn’t have any off the court issues. The Clippers don’t want to sell low with Griffin but Love’s fit might be too good to pass up. Having Chris Paul, a pass-first point guard, and Jordan, a great defensive big man, could be just what Love needs to be great.

Neither team likely wants to make this deal so it will not happen but fun to think about Griffin running the court in Tyronn Lue’s fast paced offense and finishing off of LeBron or Kyrie’s drives.
