Story: In a match-up of the league’s hottest teams, the Grizzlies protected homecourt. It was a chippy game, playing right into the Grizzlies’ hands. Randolph owned the offensive glass, even though the Grizzlies shot well. Randolph led Memphis in True Shooting and Offensive Rating (an astronomical 154 points per 100 possession). Spacing was an issue for the Grizzlies all season, but only a handful of teams could make them pay for the lack of it (the Knicks weren’t one of them in November). The Grizzlies killed the Knicks floor-spacers on both ends, locking down the arc and abusing them in the post. Randolph posted the lowest plus/minus of the starters; most likely, he spent a good portion of his minutes as the lone starter with four bench players.
