Evan Fournier

Guard. 6’6. Denver Nuggets. Experience: 1 year.

Evan is kind of a dark horse pick for a breakout season, because so much of this is based on opportunity and will Fournier even get an opportunity on a Denver squad currently stacked with wings? A 20 year-old guard standing a Kobe-like 6’6”, Fournier languished on the pine for most of the year before injuries forced Karl to give the kid a shot. He responded with some inspired play, amidst the usual rookie mistakes. Despite some missteps, Fournier showed a deceptively quick first step, quiet grace under pressure, and (admittedly not a huge sample size) a 40% shooter from beyond the arc. Will the next Nuggets coach put trust in the young Frenchman? I hope so. I like Denver’s army of wings. The more the merrier.
