Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Forward. Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets(?). Experience: 1 year.

The Bobcats aren’t really a fun team to watch. They haven’t been a fun team to watch ever. But Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is a fun player, because he has what cliché-mongers might call “fearlessness” and it is, for lack of a fancier adjective, inspiring. The rookie wall took a bit of the early season luster from him, and the hopelessness of the Bobcats didn’t really seem to help his confidence, but Kidd-Gilchrist finished the season with a stirring obstinance. Sadly, his jumpshot was as terrible as advertised, but he did fine work around the basket. He in all likelihood will never develop into a prolific scorer, but he is going to be that annoying son of a bi*** who makes the other team miserable. And if he could just do it on a team that hovers around .500, well then he might get the chance to show off his noted anti-cowardice beliefs to the world.
