Toronto Raptors: OG Anunoby?

The Toronto Raptors are looking for their number one option and the Cavs could use some extra defense for their wing position. What could both teams do to fix these needs? The Raptors can give OG Anunoby’s defense to the Cavs for Mitchell’s offense.

The Raptors have realized that Pascal Siakam is not enough to help them contend. That’s why the Raptors were included in rumors to get Damian Lillard. By receiving Mitchell, they gain a new leader for their offense as well as a closer for 4th quarters. After losing Fred VanVleet for nothing in the offseason, the Raptors need to find a new lead guard. Mitchell could fit in well at that spot and also mesh well with Pascal Siakam. Dean Wade could also help the Raptors with scoring off the bench.

OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. could help the Cavs immensely on the defensive end. Anunoby could take the starting small forward spot while Max Strus or Trent Jr. takes the shooting guard spot. Both Anunoby and Trent Jr. shoot from the three pretty well and can help give the Cavs more fast break opportunities.

The Raptors may not accept this deal due to having to give two picks, but Mitchell is worth more than that. This trade scenario is a baseline that both teams can start talking with.
