No. 2: Evan Mobley

Evan Mobley did not have a great first postseason offensively, but his defense was stellar, and in the second half of last regular season, he found his groove. In that span, he was getting downhill, showing his share of on-ball creation strides, and was an impactful passer for his teammates off of that. He was more assertive on offense in that stretch, was getting to his spots, and his playmaking made a difference for the Cavs in that time.

Mobley does have to improve as a shooter, but at the outset of next year, he should in good shape to take off in his third season on the offensive end.

With Cleveland reportedly looking to feature Mobley more on offense next year, provided he exhibits the second half aggression he had last season, combined with a productive offseason, he should be in line for a quality start next year.

If he can rebound on offense from the past playoffs, and find his rhythm early on, Mobley is more than capable of a Year 3 leap to pair with his already excellent defense. The beginning stretch of next year could be telling in that regard on offense, though, when it pertains to his shooting outside of the paint.
