The Cavs Core Four: Evaluating their Game 4 performances vs Knicks

Mitchell’s Game 4
I had the honor and privilege of attending Game 4 at Madison Square Garden. I had pretty good seats as well. I still cannot tell you if I saw Donovan Mitchell play for the Cavaliers.
Despite being back home and playing in front of family and friends, Mitchell was nearly invisible. He scored two more points than me in the second half, and I was not even close to suiting up for the Cavs. He shot a porous 1-of-9 from the field in the second half, and finished with an atrocious 11 points on 5-of-18 shooting and also had six turnovers. It was undoubtedly one of Mitchell’s biggest career lowlights.
Superstars are supposed to show up in the playoffs. Mitchell is known for being an elite playoff performer. Where was he when his team needed him the most? Nowhere to be found. This series, the Cavs have needed Mitchell to be the superstar that he is and assert himself as the best player in this series.
He was great in Games 1 and 2. Unfortunately, he has looked like a shell of himself since, folding under the pressure and bright lights of Madison Square Garden. He needs to bounce back in a big way in Game 5. It is unacceptable for a superstar to lay an egg like this in the playoffs.
