The Cavaliers and Nets square off tonight in a huge game for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn bested Cleveland back in December but looks much different now without Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving.

Both star players had 32 points in that first matchup, so there’s a scoring vacuum that the Cavs can take advantage of to get revenge. Darius Garland dropped 46 in that meeting – can he repeat his offensive explosion?

I’ve got my eye on a couple of prop bets in this matchup – let’s jump into who I’m targeting and why.

Cavaliers vs. Nets Best NBA Prop Bets

  • Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points (-115)
  • Evan Mobley Over 9.5 Rebounds (+106)

Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points (-115)

While Garland surged in the first matchup while Mitchell was held to 15 points, I think the duo’s roles reverse in tonight’s rematch.

Mitchell cleared this number in four straight contests against Brooklyn prior to that December game, and the Nets have struggled to contain shooting guards of late. Over Brooklyn’s last 15 games, the team allows the fifth-most points per game (26.23) to shooting guards in the NBA. The Nets are containing point guards well, and I think Mitchell will take advantage of a small backcourt to slice through the lane with ease.

Averaging over 28 points per game this month, Mitchell is on fire and should stay hot.

Evan Mobley Over 9.5 Rebounds (+106)

With Jarrett Allen still nursing an injury, the Mobley vs. Nic Claxton matchup is one to keep an eye on. Over that aforementioned 15-game stretch, no team in the NBA allows more rebounds per game to centers than the Nets (18.69). As a result, this is a great spot for Mobley to get into the double-digits, especially at plus odds.

Mobley is blossoming into one of the league’s best big men. He’s averaging 9.6 rebounds per game this month and has at least nine rebounds in nine of his previous 14 games. As a bonus, the Nets rank 28th in offensive rating (109.0) since the All-Star Break, so there should be plenty of missed shots that Mobley can gobble up.

In a matchup as good as this one, I love catching +106 odds that he gets to 10 boards.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
