For the second straight game, the Cleveland Cavaliers are on the road against the Charlotte Hornets.

Cleveland won Sunday’s matchup by six points, 114-108, but the team failed to cover the spread as 7.5-point favorites. Still, oddsmakers have set the line exactly the same on Tuesday night.

The Cavs are down big man Jarrett Allen, who was hit in the eye by Bam Adebayo in a recent game against the Miami Heat. However, they won’t have to face two key players for Charlotte, star LaMelo Ball (out for the season with a fractured ankle) and rookie center Mark Williams.

Does Cleveland win big against one of the worst teams in the NBA or can Charlotte hang around again?

Even though the Hornets covered the spread in Sunday’s game, I don’t trust them to do it again on Tuesday.

Charlotte dominated the 3-point battle on Sunday, going 10-for-21 from deep (47.6 percent) while Cleveland was just 7-for-27 (25.9 percent).

However, on the season the Cavs are 12th in 3-point percentage while Charlotte is 29th. So, the team is due for some regression in that category tonight.

The Cavs haven’t been the best road team this season, but one trend for Charlotte is too much for me to overlook.

The Hornets are 9-15 against the spread as home underdogs, the third worst mark in the NBA.

Cleveland should roll, even without Allen, on Tuesday night.
