The Cleveland Cavaliers faced off in an epic matchup between Eastern Conference powerhouses on national television Monday night. No matter what happened during the game, it was sure to get heated and make headlines.

This sets the stage for Grant Williams, a player who broke out during last year’s regular season and has continued that effort as a solid three and d player off the bench for the Celtics. He is averaging 8.3 points. 4.8 rebounds, and1.8 assists per game on elite efficiency, with 57.2% EFG.

During this particular game, he took a minute cut despite the game going to overtime. That didn’t stop him from scoring 12 points and grabbing four rebounds. Overall, it was a solid night for the 24-year-old forward.

Despite having a solid game, Grant Williams is sure to be on Shaqtin’ next week.

With less than a second left in the game, Williams was sent to the free throw line in a tied game. This typically means the game is over and that the Cavaliers would lose. However, Donovan Mitchell had some words for the Celtics forward.

Williams in turn looked at Mitchell and told him, with the cameras pointing directly at him, “Im’ma make both.”

He proceeded to miss both of his free throws and the game went to overtime.

What makes this moment even better is the fact that he didn’t stop after saying it once. Grant Williams repeated the phrase at least two more times before shooting.

This moment will live on in infamy as the Cavaliers would complete the comeback effort and defeat their conference foes in overtime 118-114, solidifying Williams’ blunder in the history books.

Twitter has been quick to roast Grant Williams for his role in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ victory and he has certainly earned it. This may just be the highlight of the season so far, assuming we ignore the Donovan Mitchell dunk from overtime that helped ice the Celtics.

Next time Grant, don’t make promises you can’t keep.
