The Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Boston Celtics tonight in a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview. Cleveland has a pair of wins in two tries this season already against Boston, steadily proving itself as a legitimate contender.

I expect the Cavs to play with intensity and think a few players are in store for massive nights. Donovan Mitchell, just one guy I love tonight, has at least 34 points in three of his last four games against the Celtics. Let’s jump into his prop and a couple of others below:

Cavaliers vs. Celtics best NBA prop bets

  • Donovan Mitchell Over 25.5 Points (-135)
  • Evan Mobley Over 8.5 Rebounds (-130)
  • Jayson Tatum Under 27.5 Points (-115)

Donovan Mitchell OVER 25.5 Points

As mentioned above, Mitchell dominates the Celtics. He’s cleared this prop in four of his last six games against Boston, averaging over 32 points per game in those contests. That includes a 41-point performance earlier this season.

Overall, Mitchell scored at least 26 points in five of his last seven matchups. He’s averaging over 27 points per game this season and I expect him to attack frequently on offense.

This is a huge matchup for the Cavs and Mitchell will deliver.

Evan Mobley OVER 8.5 Rebounds (-130)

Mobley has at least nine rebounds in four of his last five games and in three of his four career contests against the Celtics. He’s been a workhorse of late as well, registering at least 33 minutes in each of those four matchups.

Given the importance of this game, I expect Mobley to be on the floor. Over the last 15 games, Boston ranks just 14th in rebound percentage (50.7%). With a heavy dose of minutes against a middling rebounding team, you can trust Mobley to work the glass effectively.

Jayson Tatum Under 27.5 Points (-115)

Tatum has just 32 points combined over the last two games and he’s historically struggled against the Cavs. He’s cleared this total just once in his last five contests against Cleveland, which ranks third in the NBA in defensive rating this season (109.6).

Given the poor matchup for Tatum and his recent struggles, I’m happy to fade his points prop tonight.
