No. 1: Josh Richardson

As of now, Josh Richardson plays for a tanking San Antonio Spurs team, and might want to join a contender next offseason. He is a great wing defender, and a solid shooter. He also is a fine playmaker, averaging 3.1 assists per game, while primarily playing off of the bench. He is already 29 years old, so he is currently in his prime right now, and it would make sense for Cleveland to want to sign someone like him.

Looking at what he would bring, he would get more defense on the perimeter, which Cleveland does not have much of. As of now, Isaac Okoro and Donovan Mitchell are the only solid perimeter defenders on the roster. Richardson would play the shooting guard or small forward position, and I’ve heard a saying in the league, you can never have too many wings in the NBA.

Looking at his stats this season, he is averaging 10.8 points, 3.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds per night, also shooting an okay 35.7% from distance. A 3-and-D wing is a kind of player that every NBA team would love on their team, and the Cavs are rumored to be in the market for via trade, and Richardson could be a solid one for the Cavs if he signs to Cleveland this next offseason.
