Still without Devin Booker as he recovers from injury, this is a terrible spot for the Suns even with the Cavs coming off an exhausting, overtime battle. Mitchell’s dominance should give Cleveland new-found confidence, and I think the Cavs cover this spread easily.
Pheonix is a dreadful road team, compiling a 6-13 record away from home while the Cavs are a sparkling 17-4 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
Things have fallen apart for the Suns of late. They’ve lost three straight, failing to cover the spread in each game, and rank just 19th in net rating (-1.3) over their last 10. Cleveland, meanwhile, has the second-best net rating (5.3) in the entire league this year.
Without Booker, Phoenix doesn’t have the offensive firepower to keep up with Mitchell. Even if the Suns keep it close for a while, the Cavs should pull away.
