Cavs Stock Down: Isaac Okoro

When you think of a player on the Cleveland squad that has fallen off the face of the planet, you might think of Isaac Okoro. He’s beginning his third season with the team. He was a regular starter the last two seasons. Part of that had to do with injuries to other players like former Cavalier Collin Sexton, but Okoro nonetheless filled in well.

The biggest issue though with Okoro was his lack of offensive talent and despite having two years to correct that, he’s never really improved. Now his minutes on the court have been cut in half and his offensive production has been nonexistent.

He’s only scored 19 points through the first eight games. He’s not helping much in any category at this stage in the season. He’s grabbed only 12 rebounds through those same eight games.

Okoro has played good defense over the years and that is still the better part of his game. He did come into the Knicks game last Sunday and played a great fourth quarter to help the team turn around the game in the Cavaliers’ favor.

Will Okoro see the court more moving forward? That might be based on how healthy the team can be? With the Friday night game against the Detroit Pistons Okoro did get the start because both Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell were sidelined, but were questionable, as we alluded to.

dark. Next. Wade might be Cavs' most important bench player going forward

Time will tell, regarding Okoro’s minutes.
