The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing in four preseason games this year, on the lower end of what the NBA will allow from its teams. They aren’t going anywhere fancy, playing anyone special; they’re simply playing a few Eastern Conference goes, two at home and two on the road.

The first half of that slate is in the books, with a one-point loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in Philly followed by a 113-97 shellacking at home in Cleveland. The Cavs have shown some truly unique flashes, and yet at other times showed they are still a work in progress.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have logged two preseason games thus far. Which players on the roster have impressed for the Cavs thus far?

Let’s look at the positives today, the players who have played well and helped assuage concerns about them heading into the season. Tomorrow we will do the opposite and look at those players who have been disappointing through two preseason games.

With shouts to Darius Garland, Kevin Love’s 3-ball and Jarrett Allen’s finishing, here are the three Cavs who have impressed thus far in the preseason. We’ll start with the team’s newest star, and end with a player scrapping to make it onto the final roster.
