3 Free Agent wings still available Cavs could sign: Jeremy Lamb

There was a time when Jeremy Lamb was an athletic wing with plenty of raw tools just waiting to put it all together. He went from role player to starter in Charlotte and secured a solid contract from the Indiana Pacers. Then injuries struck, and his career fell apart over the past few seasons, descending into a small role and frequent absences.

There is still something to be offered by Lamb, however, who could be helped by playing a smaller role on a deep team like the Cavs. He has played just 14 career postseason games, so Lamb may enjoy being a part of a good team this year, filling a small role and rehabilitating his image around the league.

If so, the Cavs would be getting a 30-year-old veteran wing with solid defensive chops; he’s no wing stopper, but he can hold his own and not be a liability as the Cavs mix-and-match lineups. His shot runs hot-and-cold, but he’s not that far removed from the 2020-21 season where he hit 40.6 percent of his 3-pointers. Add in his low turnover rate and he would be a steady option for the Cavs.
