Potential Cavs free agent No. 2: Avery Bradley

After his fantastic start to his career with the Boston Celtics where he was a key contributor to a contending team, Avery Bradley saw a harsh decrease in production as he bounced from the Lakers to the Heat and just about everywhere in between as well.

While his scoring has fallen off, his percentages have barely seen a dip at all as he is still a lethal three-point shooter at 39% from beyond the arc.

Bradley’s defense has also stayed elite, often guarding the best player on the floor in the minutes that he gets. From undersized guards like Stephen Curry to bigger forwards like Kevin Durant, he does it all on the defensive end while holding his own every time.

This may be great paired with the elite scoring and playmaking of both Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell as one can play the point guard position while placing Avery Bradley at the off-guard spot to cover up the stars’ lack of defensive abilities while giving them more spacing.

He would also mesh well with both Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley as he is capable of moving the rock and could find them for lobs if the defense overreacts to his shooting abilities. This could make an interesting matchup for opponents as it would add another dangerous scoring weapon to an already stacked team.

Bradley has been on teams contending for championships in nearly every year of his career since 2016, adding experience to a young roster looking to make a splash in the postseason.
