Potential Cavs free agent target No. 1: Eric Bledsoe

The Cleveland Cavaliers should consider point guard Eric Bledsoe to bring experience and defense off the bench behind their All-Star backcourt.

Eric Bledsoe has been in the league for a minute and has bounced around for the last few seasons, although this doesn’t stop him from contributing to a team in his own way.

He is a skilled playmaker making difficult passes from time to time and setting up his teammates for easier buckets. Bledsoe is also a good defensive player, making stops against even the best of opposing players.

This is largely why he would be a good fit for the Cavaliers as he is capable of staying in front of any guard in the league while also being capable of switching out onto small forwards from time to time and holding his ground.

His scoring isn’t half bad either, averaging 13.7 points per game for his career. He is primarily used driving to the bucket but is also respectable enough from three that you won’t see the defense that Russell Westbrook or Ben Simmons see from time to time.

While he may have an interesting history regarding his relationship with his own teams, he may be one of the better fits for the Cavs.
