Earlier this week on Wednesday, the NBA released its schedule for the 2022-23 season, and in the first contest of the year, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Toronto Raptors on the road on Oct. 19. That should be an entertaining opener between young teams seemingly on the rise; here you can view the full Cavs schedule, and here’s the printable version.

From there, Cleveland has another road contest, where they’ll take on the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 22, and follow that game up with the second leg of a back-to-back in the home opener on Oct. 23 versus the Washington Wizards.

The Cavaliers then have somewhat of a mixed bag with their opponents for the rest of the first quarter of the season, in which they’ll face some contenders in that mix, some rebuilding clubs and a handful of teams in their wavelength currently.

There’s three nationally televised contests in the first half of the season to come for Cleveland, on Nov. 7 at the LA Clippers, Dec. 6 versus the Los Angeles Lakers (TNT) and on Dec. 26 at the Brooklyn Nets. Overall, though, counting NBA TV in that mix, after turning a corner and nearly making the postseason last year, the Cavs have nine total national TV contests this coming season, with six of those in the second half of the season. As KJG’s Josh Cornelissen expressed, the Cavaliers will have their share of national broadcasts this season.

So, along those lines, as a follow-up to examining five key games that stood out from the first half of the campaign earlier in the week, here, we’ll put the spotlight on five Cavs games that jump out in the second half of 2022-23.

This go-round, we’ll take a closer look at the second half of the upcoming Cavs season by circling five of those outings.

Now, we’ll get right into that, beginning with No. 1. This isn’t just highlighting all national TV games in this sense; Cleveland does have four of those in March alone, for what it’s worth.

So we’ll get into it.
