The Cleveland Cavaliers announced the entirety of the 2022-23 NBA Schedule this week, from Opening Night to the last step before their playoff run. The Cavs open the season against the Toronto Raptors and close against the Charlotte Hornets.

In between, they play another 80 games that will all decide their season. Each team’s ultimate record is mostly dictated by non-schedule factors, from player talent to coaching to health, but it would be foolish to think the schedule doesn’t play a major role.

The Cleveland Cavaliers now have their 2022-23 NBA schedule. An analysis of the inequities reveals a softer path for the Cavs that could lead to success.

An analysis of the Cavaliers’ schedule reveals a variety of interesting nuggets. We looked at some games to target early in the season and why they can get off to a hot start, as well as the fact that the Cavs got more respect from the NBA this season with national television appearances, going from 0 scheduled games on the major television networks last year to five this season.

When we do so, an interesting and encouraging narrative is formed: the Cavs have a surprisingly soft path this season that should help to boost their win total and increase their odds of making the playoffs. Let’s take a look.
