3 things to watch for when Cavs 2022-23 schedule is released

The NBA is made up of 30 teams, and those 30 teams will play a total of 1,230 regular season games in the 2022-23 season. The Cleveland Cavaliers will play 82 of those, and it’s a significant task to strike the right balance for the Cavs and the entire league with the schedule.

For the past few months, the NBA has been hard at work building the schedule, taking into account everything from venue availability to rest advantages to competitive balance to market draw. That work culminates today, Wednesday, August 17th, with the release of the full schedule at 3pm ET.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the entire NBA will get their hands on the 2022-23 season schedule today. What are we watching for in the new schedule?

While the Cavaliers will play a similar schedule to the rest of the league it won’t be exactly the same. From national television slots showcasing certain teams to variable opponents baked into the schedule, each team will have its own path to follow.
