The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to have a very good starting lineup next season. Darius Garland is already a top-10 point guard in the NBA, Jarrett Allen is one of the league’s best two-way bigs, and Evan Mobley is a rising star. With Lauri Markkanen and very likely Caris LeVert filling out the lineup, this group will outscore opponents over the course of the upcoming year.

What the Cavs are still piecing together is their bench group, the players from their very deep roster who will fill out the rotation. Very few teams handle rotations in platoons, swapping out the entire starting lineup for an all-bench group, so the primary reserves for the Cavs will mix-and-match with the starters during the game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a great starting lineup. Even more so, these three bench players will help the Cavs have an awesome season in 2022-23

A few players on the Cavs will see minutes and be solid, guys like Dean Wade and Robin Lopez. Ochai Agbaji is likely to come off the bench as a rookie and will work into a number of lineups. Among this group, however, three players stand out as awesome bench players, guys with the talent to start who will help lift the bench units to greater heights.

Let’s look at each of these players in turn, highlighting which players they are likely to be paired with, and just why they will be standout contributors off the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season.
