#1: Darius Garland

The player that will likely be the biggest three-point scorer for the Cavs this year is Darius Garland. Garland has been one of the Cavs’ top shooting threats since he joined the team. Since then, he has only improved and is quickly becoming one of the top young outside scorers in the league.

Garland will likely make another jump this coming season as he has every year he has been with the team. With the offense running through him once again this season, he could possibly jump to seven or eight three-point shots attempted a game. If he is able to roam around the three-point percentage he has had the past two seasons (39.5% and 38.3%), Garland will not only lead the Cavs from beyond the arc but also be one of the best outside shooting guards in the entire NBA.

Barring significant injuries, and I understand that’s an if, this could be shaping up to be the year that both Garland and the Cavaliers finally have their breakthrough. Individually, Garland made his first All-Star game last season and looks like he could stake his claim as a top guard of the future. As a team, Cleveland made the playoffs, technically, but were unable to get past the Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks in the play-in tournament.

If Garland can break through as a top three-point scorer in the league, he will establish himself as one of the best at his position, and the Cavaliers will make their big playoff push.
