3 free agents the Cavs should have signed this summer: Otto Porter Jr.

Otto Porter Jr. is one year further into the reclamation cycle from T.J. Warren, a player who saw his value plummet due to injuries but then redeemed himself playing for the NBA champion Golden State Warriors this past season.

Porter Jr. has a smooth jump shot, a career 39.8 percent shooter who loves to spot up in the corners and bomb away. He is also a versatile defender, sliding up and down the lineup to plug into whatever hole the Warriors had at the time. He will move the ball, take the open shot and is an excellent role player for a winning team.

Porter Jr. signed with the Toronto Raptors for a large portion of the Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception. If the Cavs had been willing to go into the luxury tax they could have split their full Non-Taxpayer MLE between Ricky Rubio and Otto Porter Jr. and added an excellent 3-and-D player to their rotation.
