#2: Love helps as a leader for the Cavs
I do think Love will be a great locker room presence for the Cavaliers next season, and should definitely be considered for the Twyman–Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, which is an award for the best teammate, off and on court, and also being a good role model and mentor for other players on the opposing and same team.
Kevin Love had his name in the running for this award last season, finishing with 21 first place votes. Love has played in the NBA for 14 seasons and counting, and has been a great mentor for the Cavaliers roster of late.
I also believe Love could re-sign with the team eventually, on a cheaper and shorter contract, given his age. It seems like Love does like playing for Cleveland, and I don’t see why he wouldn’t re-sign with the Cavs. If the Cavaliers aren’t a good team next season, maybe Love would think about leaving in the following offseason, but I believe the Cavaliers should be a good team next season, and should be a playoff team.
I do think that Kevin Love should have a very good season next year, and should really be appreciated by the fans and the NBA media for what he does, on the court and off of it.
He is such a valuable piece for an NBA team to have, as shown by his bounce-back season this last year. All in all, I expect great things from this man next season.
