The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the more prolific teams on Thursday night, drafting four players in the 2022 NBA Draft. Ochai Agbaji went 14th overall, and then the Cavs used their three second-round picks on center Khalifa Diop, power forward Isaiah Mobley and Australian wing Luke Travers.

Their activity in the draft could mean a roster crunch, but if it does it will be one down the line. Both Diop and Travers are very unlikely to come over to the NBA this season, but instead will continue to develop overseas and hope to prove enough to catch on down the line. Mobley is likely to fill a two-way spot, likely signaling the end of Moses Brown’s time with the team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took four players in the NBA Draft, but only one will be on the 15-man roster next season. What moves are next for the Cavs?

With the draft in the rearview mirror, the Cavs now have some clarity about their priorities once NBA free agency begins this week. What are the realities of their current roster and where do they still need to improve? Operating without cap space limits the Cavs’ ability to make major moves, but they can still take steps to put everything together.

In light of the draft, let’s look at three moves that are next on the Cavs’ schedule. What areas of need should they address, and what strength do they need to lock in?
