Eastern Conference NBA Draft Grades: Milwaukee Bucks

Picks: Marchon Beauchamp, Forward, G League Ignite (24)

The Milwaukee Bucks need depth that can survive in the playoffs, and with their first-round pick this year they landed on undersized power forward Marchon Beauchamp, a player who took a circuitous route to the draft but is brimming with talent.

His work ethic is elite, he has a great motor and he will do all the little things. He may be unplayable because his shot is somewhat broken, but if that comes together the Bucks have a guy who will go in the trenches with them. He excels as an off-ball player, and on a team with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton, off-ball is the only role available.

The Bucks lost their second-round pick as part of league-issued discipline over tampering charges, that the Bucks tried to negotiate early with a free agent, Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Atlanta Hawks who at the time was on the Sacramento Kings.

Grade: B-
