Dalen Terry’s frame

Dalen Terry is a name that has been floating around among teams in the late lottery. Listed as a combo guard, his frame is perfect for a modern wing. Standing at 6’7.25″, with a 7’0.75 wingspan, he is tall enough to get his shot up over most wing defenders, and his wingspan will allow him to cover multiple positions on the defensive end.

When attacking the basket this past year, Terry was very successful using his mix of explosion, and size to finish among bigger, stronger defenders. However, he’s an underrated mover without the ball. He loves coming off screens for a backdoor alley-oop, or cutting backdoor for a huge dunk.

When you’re looking at the frame of a perfect wing, it’s really about preference. Personally, I think it benefits the Cavaliers to have a taller shooting guard, who’s also able to play the three at times.

Adding a prospect with a frame like Terry’s to the Cavs’ already solid starting rotation, could be able to take them over the top as contenders next season. On top of all of that, being a player that size with that big of a wingspan, means you’re wing will be versatile, and switchable, which is very important to head coach J.B. Bickerstaff’s philosophy.
