NBA Draft Big Board 2.0: No. 4-6

4. Jaden Ivey, Guard, Purdue

The success of Ja Morant this season, a blazingly-fast guard with fearless rim attacks, may pave the way for Jaden Ivey to go anywhere in the Top 5; the upside is certainly tantalizing, with insane athleticism and an improved jumpshot this season. The concerns are there, too, as he is nothing special as a passer and his defense is atrocious. He will need to be as good as Morant on offense to be a star, but that’s absolutely in the realm of possibility for Ivey.

5. Keegan Murray, Forward, Iowa

Interior scoring ability? Check. Smooth midrange jumper? Check. Knockdown perimeter shot? Yup. Good defender? Sure is. Keegan Murray appears to be the complete package, a player who took a massive step forward as a sophomore and was one of college basketball’s best players. He’s old for a sophomore, though, and some wonder how much upside he still has. Even so there is no doubting his production thus far and he could be a steal if he slips a few spots in the draft.

6. Shaedon Sharpe, Wing, Kentucky

Shaedon Sharpe is one of the biggest enigmas in this entire draft class. He looks the part of an elite prospect, a 6’6″ wing with transcendent athleticism and a gorgeous outside shot. He also didn’t play a minute of college basketball, enrolling as a Spring semester student at Kentucky. Was his lackluster defense in high school due to the competition, or is it a glaring red flag? Not having seen Sharpe do anything in a year and never at the next level, it’s an uncomfortable notion for teams to take him in the first few picks of the draft.
