Daniels is a bit of a polarizing prospect. On the offensive end is where he’ll need to improve the most.

After shooting only 26% from three this past season, it’s clear he’s not going to be the next knockdown shooter. But, he’s explosive off the dribble, and has the ability to contort his body so he can finish at the rim. He moves well off the ball, giving him the potential to be one of the better young slashers in the NBA. He’s not the quickest player, but he does find success attacking the rim.

On the defensive end, he’s a menace. He loves to jump passing lanes, and is always looking to rattle his opponents. He should have no problem getting at least a steal a game at the next level. On top of everything else, he is similar to Johnny Davis out of Wisconsin in the sense that he’s also a very good rebounder for his position. I was impressed with Davis’ numbers, but Daniels was getting six per game last year versus grown men.

Even though Daniels gives you a lot of reasons to love him, he does need to polish up certain parts of his game. On both ends of the floor, he can be a bit out of control at times. Whether it be taking a bad shot, or playing overaggressive in passing lanes and giving up wide open layups from some miscues.

The Australian plays with a mean streak at both ends of the floor.
