142. . Guard. Washington Wizards. Dyson Daniels. 10. player

Most of the lottery after the top 5 or 6 picks is fluid, and any number of players could go as high as sixth or fall out of the lottery completely. Yet Dyson Daniels looks like he has a backstop at 10, because the Washington Wizards desperately need guards and Daniels looks like the clear pick after Jaden Ivey and Shaedon Sharpe are off the board.

At 6’7″ Daniels has plenty of size, and he leveraged that even in the G League to be a high-level  perimeter defender. He has a sharp handle and is a great playmaker and would be an excellent fit alongside a wing scorer who demands the ball, such as Bradley Beal. His shot is a major question mark, but he was knocking down everything he took during the Combine and will be truly special if he can pair a great shot with all of his other strengths.

New York Knicks. Jeremy Sochan. 11. player. 27. . Forward

The New York Knicks have a lot of good players and aren’t sure what great ones might be on the roster. They made the postseason two seasons ago on the back of their defensive identity, and it therefore would be no surprise to see them add one of the biggest defensive difference-makers in this draft with Jeremy Sochan.

At 6’9″ the current buzz on Sochan is that he may be able to defend all five positions. Head coach Tom Thibodeau may even break his rule about playing rookies if he had a defender like Sochan to play with. Offensively Sochan is more of a work-in-progress, especially as a shooter, but he is a decent passer and finisher.
