If Cleveland were to make this trade, it would be a huge success. The shooting guard position is up in the air as of right now, as it can either be Isaac Okoro, Collin Sexton, or Caris LeVert. Donovan Mitchell is better than all three of those players. Mitchell has been one of the best players for the Jazz, making the all-star team 3 times already in his young career. However, the Utah Jazz have never made it to the conference finals, despite being one of the best teams in the league while he has been on the team. According to clutchpoints.com, Mitchell said this about requesting a trade from Utah.

"“My goal and my mindset is to win. Right now, I’m not really looking at that… This hurts. I’ll think about it in a week & go from there.”"

In this quote, Mitchell does not say he wants to leave the Jazz, but he also doesn’t say he wants to stay. Mitchell is currently contemplating requesting out of Utah, and if he does, expect multiple teams to be in the bidding for him.

Also, as for Royce O’Neale, he is a solid 3 and D small forward, undersized at 6″4, but is still an impactful player nonetheless. He shot 38.9% from 3 last year on 4 attempts per game. He is only 28, so it isn’t like is about to hit a big regression in his development, right now he is in his prime. According to statmuse.com, the Jazz have a 111.1 defensive rating with O’Neale on the floor versus 114.6 without him.
