Can JD Notae will Arkansas on, and will Jay Wright get Villanova back to the Final Four?

On the schedule for tonight we have two really great games. The first one, which starts at 6:09 PM ET on TBS will feature two of the hottest teams left in the tournament in Houston and Villanova. Following that game, Duke will take on Eric Musselman and his unpredictable Arkansas Razorbacks at 8:49 PM ET on TBS after. Here are two players to keep an eye on tonight, starting with JD Notae, regarding Arkansas.

JD Notae, Guard, Arkansas

Notae is an intriguing prospect to grade and watch. Sometimes he hits shots that have no business going in. Other times, he has a 3-on-1 fast break, and turns it over. However, overall JD Notae is one of the best players to play at Arkansas. With this being his senior year, it’s his final chance to win a championship, so he will be geared up to take on the Blue Devils later tonight.

On the season Notae averaged 18.5 points per outing while shooting the three ball at a 40% clip. On top of that he’s a plus defender who averages over two steals per game. Personally, I don’t think that Notae will be drafted, but he’s definitely someone the Cavaliers should take a flier on.

Notae is exactly the type of player that would buy into J.B. Bickerstaff’s defense-first approach, and he would likely get a lot of open looks while teams focus on Evan Mobley and Darius Garland. Notae has always played well in big games, so I’m expecting a big performance from him tonight.
