The All-Star break has come and gone. Two Cleveland Cavaliers represented the team this past weekend as the All-Star weekend was held in Cleveland. Both Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland played in the big game and were part of Team LeBron in their win against Team Durant. Cavs players Evan Mobley and Isaac Okoro also participated in a few other special events during the weekend, so the team was well-represented, to say the least.

Now the team starts back Thursday night against the Detroit Pistons and has a chance to get back to a winning streak and have their eyes set on the playoffs. The team has had an outstanding season and carries a record of 35-23 and is near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. The Cavs certainly don’t look like a team that is going to fall out of the playoff hunt at this point. There is so much positive chatter about the team this season.

It truly is a “feel good” story as Cleveland has reversed course and are headed in the right direction. Now, let’s look at a few of those big questions that many Cavaliers fans have as they get ready to cheer on the Wine and Gold.

Big question No. 1: Can this team continue to win from here to secure a playoff berth?

Absolutely they can, but the next 24 games will seem at times much tougher than the first 58 games. The Cavs have a very tough month of March against teams that are nearly all in contention for a playoff spot now. The only three teams on their March schedule that are having subpar seasons are the Pistons, Orlando Magic, and Indiana Pacers. Everyone else from the tough Charlotte Hornets to the Philadelphia 76ers will make the month difficult to handle mentally.

The team will have to be ready to play every night because all these teams are trying to secure a playoff spot and are fighting the Cavs for the top spots in the conference.

Cleveland does have a friendly 10 games at home this next month so hopefully, the Cavs’ crowd can give their team an extra boost in those close games.

After the team starts tonight on the road at Detroit, they play their next three games at home. They then get a five-game homestand in the middle of March against the likes of the two LA teams in the Clippers and Lakers. They run up to play the Toronto Raptors for one road game and then have three more home games.
