Cavs dud(s): Rajon Rondo and Dean Wade

There are undoubtedly some low points in a loss to the worst team in the Western Conference, so I went with essentially two players tied here for the dud.

Rajon Rondo, who has been a decent addition for the Cavaliers, mainly for his veteran presence, played 15 minutes last night and didn’t do much in that time.

Rondo attempted two shots (missed both) and turned the ball over three times. He did dish out five assists during his time on the court, but overall this wasn’t one of Rondo’s better games.

Rondo wasn’t the only disappointment from last night’s game, though. Dean Wade, who has seen increased playing time of late, only saw 13 minutes of action in Houston and only attempted one shot (a made three-point shot) and grabbed one rebound.

With the injury to Markkanen, Wade’s presence as a 6-foot-9 stretch forward has been vital. Coming into last night’s game, Wade had topped double-digits in three of the previous four games.

Especially without Garland, the offense needed to come from others, and Wade’s lack of shot attempts and minutes on the floor is a bit head-scratching.

Looking on from that one, the Cavaliers are on to Charlotte and will try to stop the minor skid they find themselves in currently at the Hornets. While it is unfortunate the Cavaliers seemingly cannot catch a break with injuries, they must roll on and find a way to right the ship.

Next. What Cavs potential trade target Dennis Schroder could provide. dark

We’ll have to see as far as potential trades with the deadline next week, though, of course, and the Cavs are reportedly seeking wing/perimeter help, for what it’s worth.
